Ruth Slater

Ruth Slater is a contemporary fine artist working on the Isle of Bute.

Dividing her time between teaching at Rothesay Academy, motherhood and painting she creates exciting and unusual pieces in a range of media.

Living in an area of outstanding natural beauty with an ever changing rural landscape means she is never stuck for inspiration.

Her portfolio is a rich tapestry of island life from seascapes to wild sea birds and she has work in private collections home and abroad.
